Dixie Durr Award for Outstanding Service to Dance Research

This award recognizes the aid rendered the field of dance studies by people who sustain existing structures, institutions, and organizations for dance research.

This award recognizes the indispensable aid rendered the field of dance studies by people who sustain existing structures, institutions, and organizations for dance research.  The award calls attention to superlative labor, especially, but not limited to, unpaid labor performed for extended periods of time.  Such labor might make professional organizations run efficiently, ease and facilitate the use of archives or collections; or aid grant-writing or publication processes.  The Committee may entertain additional formulations of "service" so long as they do not conflict with the Outstanding Scholarly Research category.
