2023 Bursary Fund for Minoritized South Asian Dance Artists/Scholars

DSA was approached by Social Justice for South Asian Dance Collective - a group of South Asian dance scholars who donated $1500 USD to fund a 2023 DSA Bursary for Minoritized South Asian Dance Artists/Scholars. With this bursary, the DSA Board hears the call to mobilize our verbal promises of equity over the last few years into material action. This one-year pilot bursary is a model for future years.

 Working Groups

Working Groups are smaller membership groups within the larger DSA organization. Working Groups meet during the Annual Conference and continue to network throughout the year via e-mail, in online meetings, and via social media. Participation in Working Groups is open to all DSA members.

Critical Contingencies Pledge

We recognize that the workforce in higher education is increasingly populated by contingent workers outside of the tenure track.  The Dance Studies Association proposes standards for equitable treatment and employment of contingent workers in dance and dance studies, and beyond.  Sign this pledge to protect workers in your department and/or reach out via anonymous form if you are a contingent worker in need of support.
