Iranian Dance Studies

This working group on Iranian Dance Studies seeks to increase dialogue and collaboration among dancers, choreographers and scholars in Iran and across the diaspora.   Topics of collective interest include but are not limited to Iranian dance education, dance history,  terminology, documentation and issues of cultural appropriation and misrepresentation.  Explored genres will stretch from regional folk dance to popular, urban, traditional and contemporary expressions.
